Project Overview
UBITEC is a mobile application designed to improve university mobility by helping students locate transportation in real time and access routes, schedules, announcements, and campus services from a centralized platform.
The Problem
Students struggled to access transportation information efficiently because schedules, announcements, and campus services were distributed across different platforms. This made it difficult to quickly find the information needed during their daily commute.
The Solution
UBITEC centralizes essential transportation and campus information into a single mobile experience. The interface was designed to make routes, schedules, notifications, and other services easier to find and understand.

User Research & Market Validation
I conducted research with students to better understand their current transportation habits and identify opportunities for improvement. The research explored familiarity with existing university applications, transportation needs, and interest in a centralized mobile solution.
Usability Testing
I conducted usability testing with 11 students to evaluate the proposed experience. The sessions helped identify areas of friction in navigation, interaction clarity, and information discovery.

Pain Points
The testing revealed challenges around navigation and finding relevant information within the interface. Some interactions required clearer visual hierarchy and more noticeable controls to help users understand where to go next.
User Feedback & Satisfaction
The research and testing results were used to identify which interactions required further refinement. Although the overall concept received positive feedback, the findings highlighted specific opportunities to improve clarity and reduce friction.

Optimization Strategy
Based on the findings, I refined key interactions by improving visual contrast, button visibility, navigation, and onboarding. These changes focused on making the experience more intuitive while keeping transportation information easy to access.
Final Experience
The redesigned experience brings transportation information and campus services together in a cleaner, more centralized mobile interface. The project demonstrates how research and usability testing can directly inform interface decisions and product improvements.
